These landscapes were inspired by the natural world around us here in the desert southwest U.S. Spurred by a need to get out into the world as the pandemic rages on, the outdoors took on a whole new significance. You don't have to wear a mask to be protected in the wild and so to the wild I went. Hiking McKelligan canyon, the Franklin mountains, Guadalupe Peak area and various places around Las Cruces, N.M. brought out a wonder and appreciation for nature. These paintings are the result of that appreciation
