"La Biblia" is a large watercolor depicting a view of downtown El Paso, Texas, as filtered through my memory. It was one of the first images of El Paso that really stuck with me. It is a view I would see every night driving home late from my job at Barnes & Noble. It seemed like a alien landscape at first to this essentially east coast person. Its like the heat from the sun turned the rocks in the landscape to burning coals. And the words on the mountain, reflect the depth of human devotion to the bible.

My work is organized into series of series.

Working this way is a lot like taking a spontaneous road trip for me. At first, there is the excitement of moving forward without knowing exactly where you are going and what you will encounter along the way. Then you just ride for a while.

The next step is crucial you must let go of all control. Stop predicting the future and just grab the moment. The universe wants the best for you. Take a turn into that windy road that leads and winds it way up that mountain.

Eventually, I have a body of work that reflects an artist's journey; a real human artist, ( ai would never tolerate my unruly perspective.)
As a 66 year old artist is always interesting to me to see how the work evolves over time.

Each of my "galleries" on this site represent a road trip.
