I made this paper mache mask for the El Paso's Finest annual Fiesta de Frida art show. Every year, artists from El Paso and the border region, create their finest Frida-inspired pieces for a month long tribute to the one and only Frida Kahlo. Although she died young she lived a full and interesting life and her work reflected that. Her paintings capture the essence of humanity, encompassing both great beauty and deep pain.
