Mountains and Skies
The mountains are everywhere. When I look out of my studio windows, I see the mountains to the east. On a clear day I can see as far away as Guadalupe Peak, the highest point in Texas. To the west, Scenic Drive looms large, and to the North is the mighty McKelligan canyon. In these paintings I try to to understand mountains, their structure, their mystery, their draw. I will keep painting them until I can understand them.
